For local athletes in Bakersfield who want to take their basketball skills to the next level, there’s a new choice. And the professional training and unique attention the individual athlete will get can be found nowhere else in Bakersfield. Basketball Universe Academy is a Non-Profit Organization that firmly believes in giving back to the community and building character in each and every one of our students on and off the court.

Basketball Universe Academy is ran and owned by two well-accomplished local basketball players, Kyle Shiloh and Dwuan Rice, assisted by Richard “Zeke” Andrews as well. The vision of these three individuals is to give back to the community and raise the level of basketball in the Kern County area. The focus is not only on basketball fundamentals, but teaching the tools necessary to take a student-athlete’s game to the next level of competition. Basketball Universe Academy is for athletes of all ages and is the only local program focusing solely on the sport of basketball. It is also the only one whose staff has such a diverse technical and professional background.
