College life has been a whole new experience for me. I have never been on my own so far away from home before. I feel like college teaches me how to be more independent and self-reliant, you don't have your mom or your dad there all the time to look after to you so you just have to be responsible and accountable for your actions. College basketball was probably the biggest surprise, having to adjust from the intensity of high school to the next level was a big jump for me since im not a vocal person. I have definitely learned a lot since i've been here. One of the most important things i picked up here in college is that i have a lot more growing up to do to be the kind of person im striving to be.
